For those who truly long for something different and for a taste of adventure we offer a multi-day snowmobile excursion in Arctic Lakeland, eastern Finland. The route runs along wilderness in WIld Taiga. During the excursions you will snowmobile near Russian border one day… another you’ll visit Vuokatti village. You will experience the northern bogs, lakes and forests with their hills – winter nature at its most beautiful.

DAILY: full board, evening saunas with indoor and outdoor jacuzzis

DAY 1

Arriving to Hotel Kalevala. Welcome dinner and evening saunas

DAY 2

Breakfast in Hotel.
Snowmobiling the “Vuokatti circle” route (230 km).
Evening meal and Saunas at Hotel.

DAY 3

Breakfast in Hotel.
Snowmobiling near Russian border (175 km) .
Evening meal and smoke sauna at Hotel.

DAY 4

Breakfast in Hotel.
Snowmobiling the “North Karelian” route (220 km).
Evening meal and peat sauna at Hotel.

DAY 5

Breakfast in hotel.
Time to say goodbye to snowy forests.

Good to know about snowmobile safaris:

This safari is available only as private experience. All snowmobiles are insured. Self liability in case of accident is max. 1000 € for the snowmobiles.

The minimum age for riding a snowmobile is 18 years. The rider must have a drivers licence and this licence must be carried at all times when riding the snowmobile!

Driving under influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited. Alcohol tolerance on safaris is zero (0).

For your own safety, please take any possible necessary medications with you on the safari (asthma inhalers, insulin, heart medicines, etc.). We do not recommend participating on a snowmobile safari if you are pregnant.

Under the thermal overall, rememember to wear at least the next: long armed and trouser leg underwear (set of sportive underwear is good), warm socks and second layer of fleece or woolen material. Pull the thermal overall on these. Remember: the colder the weather is, the more layers you need!
