30 DECEMBER – ARRIVAL DAY
Transfer from Kajaani or Kuopio Airport to Hotel Kalevala and check-in.
Settle into the cozy atmosphere of the hotel and prepare for the upcoming New Year celebrations.
Welcome drink and dinner at the restaurant.
31 DECEMBER – NEW YEARS EVE
After breakfast, you can take part in fun snow games and friendly competitions. These playful activities require teamwork, creativity and, above all, a joyful spirit.
After lunch, enjoy free time to explore the surrounding nature at your own pace or join an optional activity, such as snowmobiling, a guided snowshoe tour, or exciting whitewater rafting. You may also visit the town of Kuhmo to explore local shops.
In the evening, it’s time to celebrate New Year’s Eve. You will enjoy a festive gala dinner, admire fireworks, and dance your way into 2027. You can also try to predict the coming year by taking part in the traditional Finnish tin casting ritual.
1 JANUARY – NATURE AND MUSIC
You will begin the new year with a relaxed and delicious New Year’s brunch.
After brunch, you have free time to relax or participate in optional activities.
In the evening, you can travel by bus to the local cultural centre, Kuhmo Hall, to enjoy a New Year’s concert.
2.1. TIME FOR LEISURE AND SMOKE SAUNA
The second day of the year offers time to enjoy the winter nature or relax comfortably by the fireplace at the hotel. If you wish for more adventure, you may choose from several optional activities. In the evening, you will experience an unforgettable traditional Finnish smoke sauna.
3.1. GOOD BYE FINLAND
It’s time to say goodbye to a magical Arctic experience and take home cherished memories.
Transfer to Kajaani Airport.
