January has kick started the winter season here in Hotel Kalevala and we have welcomed guests from Britain, Germany, Netherlands and US to experience the Winter in arctic lakeland.
Our hotel has a winter holiday package called “The Winter Experience Week”, and what a weeks they have been!
Our guests have been doing the huskies, the snowmobile tours, skiing, snowshooing and some even have swimmed in the frozen lake! Yikes.
They have also seen auroras most of the nights, and enjoyed warm cocoa by the fire place in our hotel lobby.
The hotels winter season is from 3.1-31.3. and we offer two different kinds of packages for people who are just dying to visit Finland and having a snowy, and cozy winter experience.
One package we have is the “Winter Experience Week” and the other one is “Cross Country Ski Week“.
Both packages are 7 nights long, so there is plenty of time to relax, to experience the nature, the stillness, the cold winter days.. that are actually getting longer and longer in daylight.
