During this trip you will experience the beautiful wilderness of Kuhmo by kayaking and cycling and with good luck you will see, for example, wild forest deer and bears. You can also spend time with energetic Husky-dogs when you visit a husky farm and go on a forest hike with them. In between programs you will enjoy the comforts of the hotel and relax in our sauna & jacuzzis – and just enjoy the restorative silence of nature.
DAILY: Breakfast, saunas and jacuzzis
DAY 1 – arrival
DAY 2 – Paddling in search of the Wild Forest Reindeer
Experience the legendary Lentuanjärvi – a vast wilderness lake surrounded by islands, sandy beaches and ancient forests. Join your guide for a campfire, and with luck you might see forest deer along the way. At the campfire, you can enjoy a light lunch and coffee made over an open fire. There will also be time for a refreshing swim on the lake’s beautiful sandy beaches. Duration 6-7 hours.
DAY 3 – Fat biking and bears
After the breakfast you will go to a guided Fatbike tour.
Your guide will lead you on a scenic route, showcasing the beauty of the landscape while ensuring a fun and safe ride for all skill levels. You will stop for a coffee break at local pastry- coffee shop. Duration 2 hours, including Fat bike, helmet, guiding, coffee and snacks at coffee shop.
In the afternoon you will be transfered to bear watching, where your guide will brief you on the night ahead. From a safe hide, witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. With some luck, you might also spot elusive wolverines or wolves. Capture once-in-a-lifetime photos and cherish this magical wildlife encounter! Important: Smoking and alcohol are prohibited in the bear-watching huts. Remember that bears are wild animals and they move with free will and to their own schedule. The probability to see a bear is 90-99 %.
DAY 4 – RELAXING
Transfer back to hotel for breakfast.
Free day for optional activities or to relax. We recommend r a visit to the town of Kuhmo or exciting rapid swimming.
In the evening you have the opportunity to relax in the peat sauna. It stimulates the metabolism, nourishes the skin and deeply relaxes you.
DAY 5 – MEETING WITH HUSKIES
Have you ever wondered what Huskies do in the summer? Well, for example, they enjoy nature by jogging. You have a unique opportunity to go with them to sniff the scents of the forest and listen to the birds singing. Each participant will have their own dog as a companion, and this energetic jogging buddy will be tied to your waist with a harness. The trip and route will be carried out according to the level of the group. During the trip, sausages and juice heated over a campfire will be served. Duration approximately 2 hours.
DAY 6 – JUST RELAX AND ENJOY
You can freely plan your day’s program by choosing one of the additional activities or just relax and hike in the nearby forests. You can also take a dip in the lake next to the hotel, test out the SUP boards or cycle to the center of Kuhmo.
DAY 7
Breakfast, check out, have a safe trip home.
