23 DECEMBER – ARRIVAL DAY
Arrival at Kajaani Airport. Transfer to Hotel Kalevala by our Christmas elves. Welcome drink and dinner at the restaurant.
24 DECEMBER – CHRISTMAS EVE
Christmas Eve begins with a trip to the snowy forest, where you will search for a Christmas tree and decorate it together. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy traditional Christmas rice porridge with a hidden almond — good luck to the one who finds it!
In the afternoon, there is an opportunity to visit a local cemetery to light a candle and remember loved ones.
Christmas Eve is the most important day of Christmas for Finnish children, as this is when Santa Claus arrives and presents are opened. The evening also includes a traditional Finnish Christmas dinner and, of course, a relaxing Christmas sauna.
25 DECEMBER – CHRISTMAS DAY
On Christmas Day, you may choose from optional activities, enjoy outdoor winter adventures, or simply relax.
In the evening, you will end the day with an unforgettable experience under the stars: a campfire picnic while hoping to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Our guide will share local stories as we enjoy crepes baked over the open fire.
26 DECEMBER – BOXING DAY
Boxing Day begins after breakfast with short introductory reindeer, horse and husky rides.
You may spend the rest of the day joining optional activities or enjoying the winter nature at your own pace.
In the evening, you will relax and warm up in the traditional smoke sauna.
27 DECEMBER – GOOD BYE FINLAND
Say goodbye after days filled with unforgettable memories and depart with the spirit of a Finnish Christmas in your heart.
Transfer to Kajaani Airport.
