Out on the ice, your guide will drill a hole through the thick ice and you can try your luck at ice fishing — perhaps catching a fish from the icy waters below!

After an active day in the snow, it’s time to unwind the Finnish way. Relax in the soothing warmth of a traditional sauna, and enjoy a truly unique experience in a peat sauna, where the natural peat treatment leaves you refreshed and revitalized.

SNOWSHOE TOUR

Join us on a guided 2-hour snowshoe tour, perfect for beginners! Explore the serene beauty of Finland’s taiga forest and the peaceful lakeside as you walk through the winter wonderland. Along the way, we’ll stop to warm up with a cup of hot juice, while your guide shares interesting facts about the surrounding nature. This easy-paced adventure is ideal for anyone looking to experience the magic of winter in a relaxing and enjoyable way.

After showshoeing you can book optional activities, explore Kuhmo (for example cultural sites such as Juminkeko, Kuhmotalo and visit small shops) or relax in a peat sauna.

ICE FISHING & SNOWMOBILING

Drive the snowmobiles to the best fishing spots and try to catch a fish living under the ice. Safari includes a full set of gear: suit, boots, hat, socks, and helmet, plus insurance with a maximum deductible of 1000 €. Please note that drivers must have a valid driver’s license.

PEAT SAUNA

When you want the ultimate relaxing and natural experience, try a peat sauna! A peat sauna relaxes the body and relieves stress and has a deep cleansing effect on the skin. The peat used in the sauna is collected from the Kuhmo nature and has been tested and studied in a laboratory to be safe.
